UI improvements

With the start of the new year, we're excited to show you a glimpse of Legends of the Round Table's new User Interface (UI). Since the early stages of the game's design, the UI has been constantly thought through and reimagined in an attempt to make the game as easy to play as possible, while remaining as immersive as the rest of the game.

For the visual elements, we, of course, involved our illuminator to design buttons, modules, and icons that maintain the illuminated manuscript style we hold so dear. The goal was to stay true to our artistic direction and honor the aesthetics of illuminated scrolls!

We'll let you be the judge of these latest improvements (a picture is worth a thousand words!) 😊

The character sheet

Character sheet from the old interface, with character on the left.
The old character sheet
Character sheet from the new interface, much more ergonomic and elegant, with character placed in the center.
The new character sheet! Quite an improvement, don't you think? :D

First of all, perhaps the most popular interface among RPG fans.. in the style of illuminated manuscript, of course!

The grimoire

The old grimoire interface had a purple background and was quite empty.
New grimoire interface on a beige background, with much more prominent modules and beautiful illuminated ornamentation (interlacing).

Both efficient for creating your spells and adorned to capture all the magic inherent to the grimoire.

Combat Modules

Old interface for characters' permanent and combat characteristics, and inventory.
New, better-organized interface for characters' permanent and combat characteristics, and inventory.

Quick access to check your fatigue points, the state of heart and body, armor, injuries, combat actions, etc...

Quest Journal and Logbook

Old quest and logbook interface on purple and red background.
New interface (purple and red background) for the quest and edge logs: better delineation and more pleasing colors.

A refined layout on a deep purple background to track your objectives, progression, and uncover clues provided throughout the narration.

A small detail for crafting enthusiasts: the textured effect and coloration of this book come from an actual parchment used to paint the game's elements.

We hope you’ve enjoyed the (non-exhaustive!) improvements made to the UI. Feel free to share your impressions and connect with other enthusiasts on our Discord group and follow us on social media!
