Playtesting of the upcoming LotRT demo has begun! We've given access to a few players from our Discord server - a small number of testers but we'll be adding more in waves. Having a small, gradually increasing amount of playtesters lets us fix reported issues without subjecting too many people to them!
So far, the results have been extremely positive and we're thrilled! Testers are having a blast and the feedback has been great. Of course there's a few things we need to fix, but since this is the very first time anyone outside of our devs get their hand on the game, we're really excited by the outcome!

On another note, we'd love to tell you a little bit more about magic and spells you'll be able to cast in LotRT! Magic, also called Enchantery in the game, will exist both in adventure as well as the great battles, just like it did in Arthurian literature.
For example, Morgan the Enchantress can turn someone to stone with a simple touch, if she so desires (oh yes, a little birdy told me you'll likely have to face her and her terrible power!)

As always, we're not going to spoil everything, but here's a few examples of spells that you'll find in LotRT. Some of them have specific uses for specific moments, such as the Korrigans' Evocation, which will make these curious faery folk appear! Other spells can be used in various combats, such as the Korrigans Dance, can trap an enemy in an unstoppable fit of dancing, making them lose all their turns!

Some spells will only be useful in great battles, such as the Befuddlement spell, which allows you to daze an entire enemy unit. Certain spells will affect your deck of cards - for example, the Divination spell will reveal the 3 next cards in your deck.
